This vest is more durable than the average running vest. The material and construction is high quality, typical for Osprey. The water bladders are easy to use; the bite valve works well. I’m not sure how safe the pouch material is, I can taste it even after being washed and soaked with baking soda. I was using them in bed because they’re so convenient, but I stopped after noticing I was having a reaction to it. It doesn’t seem to be chemically neutral to me. The pockets accommodate most water bottles, so it’s not a big issue. I like the versatility of the pockets, it can carry a lot of stuff comfortably. There are pockets everywhere that fit, everywhere I reach. The front closure works better than most vests with the elastic straps. These don’t get all tangled, I can remove and adjust them, and the little hooks easily grab the little loops. It’s a lightweight vest. Not the lightest one compared to minimal designs, but very light for its capacity, and the weight of a full vest feels well-distributed. Solid value, especially with the Osprey guarantee. I like that it matches their other accessories with the sand and green colors.
